Abigail Nelson

Specialising in working with neurodiverse clients and those with historic trauma or difficult childhood, I provide a safe, non-judgemental, GSRD-friendly and creative space tailored to you. Sometimes we can't or don't want to talk about the difficult stuff. Sometimes words just aren't enough, or we can't find the right ones. In sessions with me you'll be equipped with creative tools to express yourself authentically and in new ways. We can talk, but we can also create stories, make art, listen to music, or explore images and objects. Through metaphor, we can get your inner world out in front of us, so we can explore it and see it from new perspectives. You might like to work through a particular issue, maybe you just want to finally, truly get to know yourself, or perhaps you're looking for a dedicated time and space to focus on YOU. Whatever brings you to therapy, the most important thing is finding the right therapist for you. To explore whether that might be me, I offer a full free session as a consultation, so we can begin to get to know each other and you can experience what dramatherapy with me is like. I work with adults in-person (in Edinburgh) and online (worldwide) and currently have availability during weekdays.
